In August 2025, we visited Mitchell Excavation Inc, also known as Mitchell X, in Lindon, Utah. We were inquiring about job opportunities at Mitchell X, and currently, there are no job openings. The owner, Scott Mitchell, and his family love hunting, and there are many hunting trophies on display in the main lobby. There are also clever models of different excavation equipment made out of wood. It was fun to see the taxidermy displays and other decorations, and hopefully there will be job openings in the future.
Watch out for their truck drivers. Oversized load driving on I-15 going 80mph and cutting across multiple lanes of traffic all while texting. Completely oblivious and extremely dangerous.

Update: I wish I could give a negative star review. Not only have they done the below, now they have driven their equipment on our lawn and property with zero notification or permission. They also think it is okay to use homeowners hoses and water while they saw. I guess as long as they think no one is home, they think they can get away with bad judgement calls. They are not the fastest company. They have torn up the street by our house to excavate and then put a new street in, it has taken them 2 weeks so far to resurface it and have not even poured the concrete yet. They have an ETA for another 2-3 weeks.
