The worse power company I've ever dealt with. They have the monopoly, so there's nothing you can do about their crooked policies. I hate this company and will be moving states due to them.

Setting Mississippi residents up for failure one bill at a time. Deposits requests 8 months after initial service began. Claims Im still a new customer. All this because I asked for an extension which Im not allowed to ask for because Ive never paid a deposit? Bills are $300 in the winter months and $300 deposit. Im sorry but something is a miss. I do not recommend.

We have Mississippi power. Inevitably, the neighbor does too. They came to service their new house that is under construction and we own two of the lots bordering the new house is progress. Mississippi Power took it upon themselves to drive across our property, right in the middle. Upon doing this they broke the underground wires for the lawnmower. HJR 912 makes the United States Government responsible for all public debt. Mississippi Power has been billing customers collecting from them and also coll4cting from the customers trust account located with the IRS and treasury. I had to pay a 250 dollar deposit because I was delinquent on one payment. Ever since I stopped the service, I have not received my check. I have called them multiple times and every time they have some excuse. After calling multiple times and being on hold multiple times, I finally found a person to ship the check out. Still waiting to see if I get it or if they find another excuse. Incompetent workers and no organization or coordination within in the company.

I dislike this power company so much they shut us off the same day the bill was due and they did this literally 5 times in just 6 months and our electric bill for a 2 bedroom apartment was 350.00 to 420.00 a month. You can't pay that and rent plus a water bill at 10.00 an hour! This power company is the worst we ever had to deal with and I am warning everybody on how corrupt this business is and what a robbery on the community it's no wonder Mississippi is the poorest state because of businesses over charging! We lived in Louisiana all our lives and since the kids are on there own now the wife and I decided to build our retirement home in Carriere. When I contacted Mississippi Power they were absolutely as nice, cooperative, and helpful as they could be I read all the negative comments and I just don’t see it.

My services were disconnected for non payment.I along with others are experiencing hard times at the moment,but I definitely understand that bills need to be paid.I made a partial payment today and asked for my services to be restored and I was told that is now and automatic process once the full balance is settled.I paid the remaining 240 dollars and still my services were not restored.I had .57 cent balance remaining so I paid the minimum of 5 dollars to cover it.My services are still off.How can you say it’s an automatic ... read more

We submitted our lease to ms power and paid our deposit to which the lease agreement had the wrong move in date so ms power is trying to make us pay someone else's bill before they will turn on services for us. And will not except the lease with the corrected date
