Paid about 5,000$ for a transmission with a 1 year warranty. 6 months in and my transmission goes out again. I tow it in thinking it will be ok cause of the warranty. They claim it’s fuse box when the transmission clearly is not working. Then they charge me almost 2,000$ to fix the transmission/ fuse box. I drive a tow truck and would never recommend this shop to anyone. They took me for 7,000$. Stay away from this place.
I cannot in good faith recommend Mission Viejo Transmission and Auto Repair. Approximately one year ago they installed an aftermarket clutch on my 2022 Jeep Wrangler, and also helped me get reimbursed by Jeep for the installation. Unfortunately one year later I started to experience significant shifting issues, including lockout from 1st and reverse, that forced me to drop the transmission during a road trip. DO NOT GO HERE! We just went for a pre-purchase inspection and they gave a list of over $3,000 of work that supposedly needed to be done. The car had just been inspected by another mechanic who found no work needed (previous parents who were looking for a car also had an inspection). I could not believe they would pull something like this on two women who were just trying to verify that the car was in good shape. Lesson learned - I will make sure no one I know takes their car to this "mechanic"!!!

I drove a pretty long way but they earned my business from the knowledge they spoke over the phone. Had my transmission replaced by them and it's shifting very well. Thank you guys!!!
