The emergency room is a nightmare! The paper pusher at the desk has no idea how to figure out true emergencies. I came in bleeding profusely and rather than send me right away, she said "there are no beds so you'll have to wait. It was a full waiting room with non emergencies. I continued to bleed and when I was finally seen 1 1/2 hours later, I ended up needing 14 stitches. I even waited in the bed another 1/2 hour until the doctor came in to check on me. Never coming back to this hospital again.
Glad to out of there alive. A short stay surgery was a nightmare. there was only one vital signs machine split between 4 patients which they kept taking it around while we waited for our procedures. Only one person was in the room and that was the guy who takes you back to your car after the procedure. We waited 6 hours until the doctor was able to wheel us into the OR, by that time I was asking "am I leaving here alive? the place sucks and the small surgical centers like encino Hospital, etc beat it by a mile.
