Very displeased with the care my father received the last 2 months from this facility. Dr. Buzick and his nurse Lexie have a lot to learn as far as bedside manner and compassion for terminally ill patients are concerned. My father was scheduled for his first round of chemotherapy extremely malnourished and unfit for therapy. They nearly killed him and then acted surprised when he entered hospice 16 days later. A very depressing reception area -especially since most everyone is a cancer patient. Having to wait in a grim, gray facility,( with no thought to decore and ambiance) MC&B is not a place i ever look forward to going to. Receptionists are clueless, they don't return phone messages and no one who works there seems like they want to be there. Thanks U of I /MC:B for the lack of a safe space and kind Dr's when people are going through the worst times of their lives. unfortunately living in Iowa we have no other options.

So many good things to say: Mission (and UIHC now) is a respected, recognized, all-encompassing oncology practice. From research, to genetic counseling and treatment, they are full service, for sure. Enhancing all this is the loving, compassionate staff. Every single person will warmly greet you, give you all the time you need, answer every question you have and comfort you in the tough times. Mission Cancer + Blood is a blessing to our state and I'm grateful every day.
