So I walk in last July (2020) with a sore throat and nurse Jawwad Khalaf says there is nothing wrong there. Ok! no problem, then he says my "no-co-pay" insurance card is not working and asks me to pay $139 then get reimbursed by my insurance only for the amount they will pay to the clinic. In other words, he will keep the difference. I pay him and a couple days later I file a claim with UnitedHealth. They pay Khalaf $90.97, in accordance with their contract with the clinic.
