I was seen on 8/19/26. The NP on duty was dismissive of my requests for testing. I asked for flu and strep. She would only do strep, and she said my throat didn’t look bad. I know my body and my history of strep. She barely swabbed my throat. She said if my symptoms increased, to get an over-the-counter flu test. I went to my primary today, and I have strep throat. I’m furious at this NP. If you’re sick, go somewhere else.
Provider recommended only OTC meds, when I had already tried everything at home. Seemed inexperienced, and only following "cookbook" medicine from the computer algorithm. Go to one of the freestanding clinics on Rte. 40 instead!

I am writing to report that the wrong test was ordered during our recent visit, despite multiple clear requests for a specific lab—resulting in a delay in my son’s military processing and an unnecessary repeat test. On April 20, I brought my 18-year-old son to CVS MinuteClinic for two required tests: a Complete Blood Count (CBC) and a Hemoglobin Electrophoresis to determine the fraction of Hemoglobin S.
