Walked into the clinic, with redness all around my right eye, the whole right side of head was in a lot of pain, the right side of my nose was running very badly. I was not given a covid test or a flu test. I was told that I had a common cold. I was charged $161. That very night my nose was bleeding on the right hand side. Before booking an appointment, double check your insurance plan!!! Some BCBS plans no longer cover CVS Minute Clinic as I unfortunately learned after the fact. After seeing BCBS as an insurance covered by CVSMC and having been there last year I sighed up for an appointment. Big mistake! My claim was submitted and denied which resulted in paying double what the clinic would normally charge. Predatory practices. They show you on EPIC charting your insurance is accepted. And when I say they, I’m talking about Sherri NP and Chris NP. I was notified by BCBS my claim was denied. I received a bill for $339. I offered to pay the uninsured rate and the minuteclinic wants the prime insurance rate and sent it to collections. There’s a class action that started in 2025 developing in Rhode Island. I’m joining it. What this company is doing is illegal and they should be sued.
