This one thousand acre attraction located just west of Minneapolis is a gardener's paradise. It is also the perfect spot for anyone who simply wishes to visit a beautiful and peaceful place. The University of Minnesota, which owns the arboretum, conducts research here and offers a wide variety of educational programs. Several miles of walking paths weave through the gardens, with a lane along side for those who wish to drive.

RecommendedThis place is absolutely gorgeous in the fall. Be sure to get there with plenty of daylight left and don’t leave until closing. The lights at night are great!

such a beautiful place to visit. we stumbled upon this place driving through from out of town. so glad we did. the kids had a blast.
Great place to walk and enjoy nature or to drive around the 3 mile loop. The gift shop is a must stop. Try lunch or a coffee break upstairs. A rated.
The Arb is one of Minnesota’s greatest treasures. It’s open 364 days each year. People of all ages & abilities can find something to enjoy. The autumn colors are perfect right now. It’s never a bad time to go. Enjoy!

Love it. Became a member the first time we visited. Went back the next week, even though it’s over an hour drive. I can’t wait to go back each month as the seasons progress.
I sure am enjoying my membership at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. Today I watched how they extract honey at the Bee Center, I had yummy salad in the cafe, I saw gorgeous flowers, and I bought delicious SweeTango apples at the apple house.
Amazing experience. So much care and attention to detail here. A destination place to visit.
