The University of Minnesota, which owns the arboretum, conducts research here and offers a wide variety of educational programs. Several miles of walking paths weave through the gardens, with a lane along side for those who wish to drive.

Beautiful in every season, it’s a place I love enough to visit almost weekly. With a three-mile drive as well as a three mile hiking trail, there’s room for new adventures every visit. There are so many educational opportunities as well as a wide variety of opportunities to enjoy art, sculpture, seasonal celebrations and volunteering.
Great place for a walk. Enjoy visiting different times of the year to see different flowers!
Been enjoying the Beauty of this place for over 20 years. It never disappoints. The flowers in the gardens the pathways and water falls and the leaves as they change to the most beautiful yellows and orange as you drive the three mile road are spectacular
My boys and I visited this past weekend. It was our very first trip to the Arboretum. It was wonderful! I wasn’t sure what to expect but we loved the drive through portion and we spent a couple hours walking around looking at the rest. We had a wonderful time and took great pictures of the flowers and birds too. We will definitely be back! The only thing I was sad about was missing tulip season! I’ll need to get there earlier next year 😁🌺🌸💐🌷
We loved visiting the MN Landscape Arboretum twice in the past weeks, doing the 3-mile drive tour. Everything is beautiful! I got a whiff of lilac in the air and had to study where it was coming from. I appreciate I didn't have to photograph any other visitors while perusing the lovely landscape. Thank you for being open during covid-19.
We did the drive through today, great option! Beautiful, smelled amazing and very well managed. We had a noon slot and didnt have to deal with any traffic at all! Thank you for this option! My 12 year and 3 year really enjoyed our "field trip"
