The Minneapolis Convention Center Auditorium is part of the Minneapolis Convention Center on Second Avenue. The auditorium has four levels of seating and is really spacious and well planned. The sound system is great and the acoustics in the place make the auditorium a great option for many types of event and performance. The auditorium is available for rent for special occasions and corporate events.

Difficult to navigate, there were ticket booths, but none for the event I was attending. Staff directed us to a volleyball tournament we were attending a choral event. Across the hall was a loud robotic dinosaur event.
Went to the Jurassic Quest 4/29/17. Parking location was good. Price was a bit steep but that's what you get if you're not from the area and don't know where to find cheaper parking. Nothing was marked to let you know where stuff was at. Apparently "convention center" covers everything. Security didn't know where it was at either. I guess it was follow the line of kids. And the event itself was lacking. False advertising. They had schedules to show when everything was happening....waited and didn't see the walking dinosaurs ... read more
Took my granddaughter to Jurassic Qwest here. Very impressed with everything. The activities they have for the kids is amazing and the workers...well kudos to all of them that worked at the Jurassic Qwest. The patience and help they offered to the kids and parents was awesome. One thing I would suggest is at the bouncy houses I would put some kind of seating for whomever needed it...grandparents or someone with a handicap that can't stand for a period of time. Needs many more trash cans and ash trays. Cigarette butts everywhere
Facilities were good for dance competition April 21. However, they closed every single bathroom around the auditorium before the competition was over. Over 100 people still in auditorium and dressing rooms. Found that totally unacceptable. Had to hunt down someone to open at least one. And was very hesitant at that.
