Yummy sushi! Minato is a great little sushi restaurant in Mt. Vernon, right near the monument. Their sushi is always fresh and tasty, and they have a great 3-roll combo option for $10. The agedashi (sp?) appetizer here is great, too! Be sure to stop by for the bento Box lunch special, which is like a little sampler of lots of tasty japanese treats. Enjoy!
The best sushi around Minato has the best sushi in Baltimore, I think. It's impeccably fresh and they have interesting combinations that I haven't seen in other sushi restaurants. Their other dishes are also excellent, especially the miso soup. I would eat there several times a week if I could. The staff is very friendly and service is always excellent. The restaurant is quiet with a very elegant, understated decor. Dining there is a lovely experience in all ways.

Great Sushi-a real find in Baltimore City. – I have been going to this restaurant for about 4 weeks now, about once a week, and it is great. The chefs are nice, the place is always packed, and the food is delicious. It is hard to find a good sushi restaurant in Baltimore city, but I really like the atmosphere so much better at Minato than at the sushi restaurants in Federal Hill. Not only is the food great, but the place is really pretty on the inside. I would highly recommend it.
brand new location - stunning, friendly, stylish and delicious! – I was so pleased to find out that Minato moved next door to me on Charles between Eager and Chase. The new location is absolutely beautiful - definitely the new hot spot in Mount Vernon. The owners and staff are so friendly they make everyone feel at home! For such a classy looking place it has a family feel and the food is amazing. Five Stars!
A classy restaurant for the not-so-classy :)) – I was never a person to eat out at a "real" restaurant. Does the napkin go in your shirt, aorund your neck, on your lap. I didn't want to make a fool of myself by pretending to know what I was doing so I settled for Interstate "restaurants", seeing that i amd 5 mins away from 95. First, I HATE fish with a passion!
