Both my wife's and my pasta dish with angle hair pasta were very over cooked. Noodles broke into tiny pieces when trying to twirl. Flavor and presentation was excellent. After paying bill (I was not looking for a comped meal) I spoke to the manager so the kitchen could correct their timing on the noodles. The manager said it is very difficult to get angle hair al dente. He basically said live with it or order a fatter noodle. We have been coming here for 2 years now. The food is absolutely authentic and so delicious. It was a no-brainer to have our wedding rehearsal dinner here. This past Friday they accommodated the 28 of us on a busy Friday night and they didn't skip a beat. We had family style Chicken Parm with pasta and it was delicious as always.
I'm from Connecticut. My husband and I were visiting our daughter and son-in-law in Pensacola. Took a drive to Destin for the day and decided to have dinner here for my birthday. I was not sure how it would be since I'm from the northeast and Italian food is awesome. It's never easy to find good Italian food in the south. But then there's Mimmo's!! Wow is all I can say. Phenomenal food, atmosphere and everything!! I wish they were in CT!!! I will need to make a point of coming once again!
My fiancée and I ate at Mimmo's while on vacation. It was the best chicken parm I have ever had! Very nice break from 3 straight nights of super touristy food!
The food here at Mimmo's is always so good ! Fresh ingredients prepared with love ! Love everything here ! Atmosphere, service and definitely the food most of all !!!
Phenomenal! But think about making reservations! The food is fantastic even if you have to wait. Had to sit at the bar for our Eggplant Parmigiana with Angel Hair Pasta but very well worth it! Eliana was a delight! Go for cannolis!
