DISGUSTING. We stayed here for a long weekend getaway in Milwaukee. The cable didn't work, the water was cold, the hallway smelt like urine. The front desk person was rude. I am not one to leave bad reviews but my complaints were ignored, we ended up staying down the street at the Hilton. So paying twice for a hotel to get out of this place. One night was one too many.
Stayed here for the first time this weekend. Yes, it is old but it is very clean & the staff was wonderful. Would love to see more snack/dining options for the weekends. Had to go off site for breakfast. Even some items to heat in a microwave would be lively when coming in late. Will be staying here in the future for sure. Excited to use the athletic facilities, especially the awesome pool!
Went to a July wedding and the couple paid for top shelf open bar all night. The Milwaukee Athletic Club started charging guests for drinks at 10 pm. Not really sure how that works, I guess they can get away with charging for double now a days. Seems a bit fraudulent to me .....
I was there for a wedding on July 31 and we had several issues with our room and during the reception we were charged for drinks starting at 10pm when the wedding party paid for top shelf open bar service for the night for everyone! Now they are refusing proper compensation. In the end the drinks were paid for twice and we are supposed to suck it up while they keep the extra money!
I have been seeing several negative reviews on the MAC recently, for people that have hosted events here. I have been a part of several events hosted here for the past several years and have NEVER had an issue - hence the repeat business! The staff and management has always been helpful and accommodating. I would recommend this beautiful and one-of-a-kind venue to family, friends and professional contacts with no reservations!
