Had a $1200 service including transfer case oil change break fluids etc. Two day after service noticed break fluid on my front tires. The draining nipples weren't tightened causing break fluid to gush out when breaking. Serious safety risk. Noticed oil under my car. Took it to another mechanic and my transfer case was almost empty and the draining plug was missing. Could have been $6000 repair. I just can't trust this shop again.
I’ve been taking my car to Mills Thom since the day I bought it back in 2018. Unfortunately, since Mike handed the reins over to Peter, my experience has gone downhill. I’ve had ongoing issues with my steering being tight, and each time I’ve brought it in and reported the problem, Peter has only done a wheel alignment and sent me on my way. The progress is slow and not completed on time. When informing the customer that it will be done in the morning, it will be delayed until the afternoon. This is unacceptable because it delays the work and the customer's urgency when the request is made as soon as possible.
Mills-Thom diagnosed a leaking head gasket on my Jaguar V8 engine. They won the job - $4935. Afterwards, the engine still showed an occasional misfire and sometimes a”restricted performance “ display. They tried to solve this without success. Eventually, I had the car trucked to a Jaguar specialist who found the air filter element incorrectly fitted, 2 screws bottoming out, one missing and the wrong spark plugs. He fitted 1 new plug coil. Last Friday I was travelling from the Gold Coast to the Central Coast and my car completely died on the main road of Coffs Harbour. After having my car towed, I was incredibly stressed & the team at Mill’s- Thom’s put me at ease. They squeezed me in & were able to install a new battery for me. 2 and half hours from it breaking down, I was back in my car and on my way again.
