**UPDATE** 9/11/2024: I purchased a tapeworm serology online, and Quest Diagnostics processed it. The result 7/6/2024: Positive for tapeworm. And not just any tapeworm...Echinococcus. Look it up. 4 types total, 2 of which are most likely to infect a human: Aveolar and Cystic. Q.D. automatically defaults to additional confirmatory tests. A western blot compared an antigen from the Aveolar against what is in my blood, it was Negative which means no A.E. which is more fatal. Here I am, waiting TWO months to start a visit for a primary care. I am very healthy but just wanted to have a primary doctor. They cancel my appointment the day before....and a lady called me to reschedule...for another month. I was so disappointed that I hang-up after telling her to advise DR. MANUEL GARCIA that now this is a 4 month wait! She called twice and left a VM saying I am disgraceful because I hang-up. She sounded cuban. in case you want to follow up with her.
This particular doctor decided to "fire" me because I demanded a serology test. Through the patient portal, no less. I told him I had a parasite infection, and he shrugged it off and said "Well if this was a 3rd world country. "... Well, doctor, take a look around. This whole area is mostly 3rd world people. Who come from a country where parasite infections are common. So much so that those countries treat their citizens twice a year with an antiparasitic for preventive purposes.
