Great blackened alligator, jumbo shrimp blackened and cheese stuffed baked potatoe
Our hotel recommended the restaurant. The best seafood I've had in years! The fried platter was phenomenal, I'm not a big fan of coleslaw but theirs was OUT OF THIS WORLD AMAZINGG. The bacon jalapeño wrapped shrimp with the apple glaze was delicious. I'm sure everyone sitting around us could tell it was our first time because you heard us all saying "mmm"or "oh my gosh try this" after every bite. Can't wait to pass through town again and stop to eat!! Also, service was wonderful and the wait was short- we arrived about 8pm.
A good restaurant can be killed by bad service. Good service can compensate for mediocre food. We've eaten at Mike Anderson's plenty of times. I always like the food. This time, our server, Emmiline, made everything better. I don't care for restaurant veggies, so I only ordered what csme with the grilled shrimp and gave it to my wife. The mac and cheese was better than almost any other I've ever had. Extra points for Emmiline.
Great appetizers, main course, and dessert. Great atmosphere as well.
The coleslaw and the gumbo was not so good. The onion rings was real good .
I love Mike Anderson's and would recommend everyone to go there. It was our anniversary and we ordered a seafood platter. It was awesome. We did have a lol wait but our waiter was great. Everything was hot and the place was packed. There was a big birthday party going on as well. Can't wait to go again.
