Good Mexican Food I highly recommend Mijares for excellent mexican food. Try their shrimp and lobster enchiladas. The staff is courtesy and accurate with your order. Parking is good for this location.
One of my favorites in Pasadena My family really likes this restaurant. They have really good Tortilla soup and flan. They have pretty generous portions. Nice family restaurant for all family sizes
Great lunch specials Though this location is more of a lunch place than a dinner place (no atmosphere) the food is still the wonderful Mijares food, including the great "garbage burrito". Their lunch specials consistently draw a regular lunch crowd from the area and for good reason--they are affordable and well made. A great place to go for mexican.
Two outta three ain't bad My boyfriend, my son, and I went to Mijares on Sunday for lunch. They loved their entrees (quesadilla & beef burrito), but I was a bit disappointed in the taquitos. The guacamole is EXCELLENT!
It's ok. I wish it were better and/or had better parking as it's so close as it would quickly be my go to, but, there are other options that are as good and much more convenient. That's not to say you should avoid it, as I know plenty of people that think the parking inconvenience is worth it.
Years ago I would freguent ed this restaurant with a friend of mine in the late afternoon for "The Best" Margaritas. And just the other day another friend shared their experience here with the same enjoyment of both food & drink.. So I returned and it is EVEN BETTER WITH AGE!!!

Incredible Mexican food in Pasadena. If you like authentic, home-made Mexican cusine, this is the place to go. Great salsa and chips, great burritos and chimichangas. Good horchata as well. Most excellent - I highly recommend this restaurant!
Not at good as the other location – We love the restaurant on Palmetto, but were on the other side of Pasadena, and thought we'd give this smaller version a try. Service wasn't that prompt or attentive, and we were 1 of only 3 tables. The food was good, not outstanding like the other location. The chips and salsa were delicious. We recommend this place based on the food, not the service, so don't go in and expect great service.
