About this business
Our passion for fresh food comes from our founder, Mary Vasquez. Throughout her childhood in Central Mexico, she cooked with her mother and grandmother, helping to prepare family meals. When she moved to the States, she married Mike, had children of her own, continuing to make her favorite recipes from her childhood. Great place
Pretty bland Mexican food place. It is better quality than Del Taco and Taco Bell, but not as good as other Mexican takeout restaurants in the area. Service is usually hit and miss. Sometimes they will ignore you for several minutes and focus only on drive thru.
The food tastes fine—it’s not gourmet, but it’s not bad. The real issue is that if you’ve been going to MJ for a few years, you may have noticed, as I have, that their burritos are now about a third of the size they used to be. I understand that staff costs have gone up, and so have ingredient prices. But if that’s the case, I’d rather pay more and get the food I’ve come to expect—the food that kept me coming back in the past.
