Dr. Frank Phillips and Christine Johnroe are truly amazing, compassionate, and brilliant human beings. Living out of state, I traveled to Chicago to have an Xlif fusion performed by Dr. Phillips. Dr. Kern Singh is more than excellent! Nearly 14 years ago I couldn’t hold or play with my first grandchild due to deterioration in the spine. He gave me my life back (as I knew it) with a fusion. All these years later, my disk had deteriorated and again, I experienced great back pain. With an active life and 2 more new grandchildren, this new issue of pain significantly impeded my quality of life. It was a dismal day for me 4/21/18 when I fell and totally dislocated my elbow plus much more. I was referred to other surgeons but not feeling comfortable with them I searched for someone else. Dr. Mark Cohen was referred to me by a family friend. I called on Monday after, seen on Wednesday surgery on Next day Thursday. I needed to have support of my husband since he would be doing the driving from our home in Downers Grove to Rush. He checked reviews and felt that he would support my choice. The docs explain everything very clearly. They take the time needed to make sure you understand and speak in layman’s terms. The docs are conservative in their treatment; surgery is their last option.
Dr Lin is an extremely knowledgeable doctor who spends time and listens to a patient's needs and pain and tries to be very accommodating. His staff is the best as well! I've been a patient of Dr Lin's for two years and have been highly satisfied.
