Midlands was a saving grace for our family member in crisis. Not only did they get in quickly but the staff was extremely supportive. The facility was clean, the food was much better than expected, and they have both adult and adolescent care. While our family member was inpatient, we were given updates often and had the direct numbers for several staff members. We felt heard and supported and we were given a lot of resources. The nurse is mean and would not listen to what I had to say! She kept saying that I was being ill when I wasn’t! They lie to!
I was hospitalized there last August after a serious suicide attempt. I cannot say enough good things about this facility. The staff is all fabulous. They have a great chef who even accommodated my being a vegetarian. I only had two complaints; the beds were like rocks and with all my spinal issues I went almost 6 full nights with no sleep it started to get a little loopy also I have trouble staying warm because I am so skinny and I can remember nights when I actually put socks on my hands so that I could hold on to my book ... read more
Would not recommend this place to my worse enemy. No communication and rude as hell.
Mom was there over a week. We never had a phone call from a doctor or psychologist. Tell us what they started or stopped on the medicine. They didn’t call any in and sent her home in a cab with no medicine and no direction on how to get it now we’re going on three days without having anything. Didn’t even follow up to see if the new medicine they started her own was called in Never once talked to a doctor the whole time she was there were the family members that take care of her so communication was horrible we still have no... read more
