Jay took plenty of time to do a thorough home inspection. His work was also professionally done.
Jay was very nice during the inspection process and provided what I thought was detailed information. Post the inspection, we now have found 3 leaks at our home, all missed by Jay during his inspection. Long story short, his insurance denied our claim, he isn't responsive, and it's now up to my family to pay for these fixes out of pocket. All of this to say, do not waste your money for a home inspection from Mid-State Home Inspections. If this review is a deciding factor, please believe me when I say don't use Jay.
Jay disconnected my homeowners heating units during the home inspection and then refused to pay for them to be fixed. Even though he was the only one touching the wires on the system during the inspection and suddenly my home owners with a 3 year old and new born baby didn't have any heat when the temps were going to be below 20 degrees. I wouldn't use this home inspector.
i think this was the fourth time that i have used Mid-State. Each time, appointments were made on time and his attention to detail is hard to match. i have sold homes where the buyers inspector is in and out in 30 minutes. Jay takes as long as needed to give a complete and thorough evaluation. thanks Jay.
