I am highly disappointed in the lack of customer service MidIsland Mortgage provides. It’s absolutely unacceptable to be placed on hold for over 20 minutes only to be disconnected - and this happened several times. It’s also incredibly frustrating to have the operator who answers the line transfer me to the wrong department and after waiting very long hold times get disconnnected AGAIN. My banker Stephanie was amazing. She was very professional and was by my side every step of the way. Highly recommended to anyone who's serious about purchasing a home.
Let me first state that I never like to bash anyone or any company via online, but this is has to be put out there so that other people are not in the same situation that I am in right now. If I could give this company a ZERO STAR review I would. They are absolutely terrible. Customer service is completely useless. I have contacted them over 10 times within 1 month and none of the customer service reps can give me a straight answer, and this includes so called "super visors". 12/2017 had horrible experience my rate that was suppose to be locked in apparently was not and was informed about this a week before the closing. Not only was my rate changed from 3.75 to a 4.50 on a 30year fixed I was surprise at the closing to found out that I was charged an additional $600 to buy down points ??? My realtor told me a week ago his sister was locked in t a lower rate so he believes i was also swindled... Additionally the file contains disclosures that are signed by *** **** that clearly state that the interest rate is a floating rate and can only be locked in with a written and signed lock in agreement. Ben and the team were always here for me from the beginning, it was the first time for me buying a house and Ben was guiding me on every step of the way, and then after i was finish with the construction Ben told me i can do a refinance with 0 down and with a rate much lower than the current market rate. To be honest, i was a little skeptical, but Ben delivered again and my current rate is much much lower interest rate than anyone could've approve me. Thanks Ben
