Very enjoyable evening – My husband and I had dinner at Mickey Mantle's for our anniversary and it was truly a memorable evening. Everything we ate: appetizers, salads, entrees and sides were delicious. The service was impeccable. We had one slight problem, our ala carte sides were not delivered with our meal, we explained this to the server and the sides were promptly brought (1-2 minutes tops). Something else to be desired... – My wife and I went here for Valentines Day last year and were sorely disappointed. We chalked it up to the special menu and the numerous diners that night, and thought we would give it another shot for my birthday this year. Again, disappointment. Very good, not great – I went and had the caesar and a ribeye. Salad was very good, steak was pretty good. Nice atmosphere. Bartender was excellent. Auditman,(another reviewer) you need to realize, red wine is served at room temperature, not chilled.
Not worth your time or money!! – We rarely choose to spend a lot of money for a dinner out. Usually try to keep it to about $30 for two. We chose Mickey Mantle's Steakhouse for a holiday occasion and were sorely disappointed. When you order steak for $25, it would have been nice to have a potato or at least some steamed veggies. Fantastic staff & even better food – The staff were fantastic! The waiter was very professional, knew the menu & answered all questions, even suggesting splitting the side dishes (family style). His wine suggestion was also dead on, a great reisling. The rest of the staff were very unobtrusive but immediately at the table to refill glasses, clear dishes or answer any questions. My Only Stop In OKC and Mickey Mantle's Put It Out of the Park – I was in town on business staying one night in OKC and was in the mood for steak. Great recommendation by a local who mentioned Mickey Mantle's Steakhouse. Traveling on business has taken me far and wide with plenty of celebrity restaurants, but Mantle's is among the best when it comes to steak. Fan freakin tastic – This is the place for steaks in OKC. It seems pricey for some locals, but if you have been to a Morton's, Ruths Chris, or Del Frisco, it is about the same cost. The wine list is great, the steaks are fantastic, and the decor is what you would expect of a top-notch room. The filet was melt in your mouth tender and cooked to perfection. The service is of course impeccable and being in the heart of bricktown, it is a great place to start or finish an evening out.
Yum – The food and service is truly top notch, but you pay for it! Wonderful food, service, location, and ambience!
Chill out! – Food was excellent, but what's up with the NYC prices? Waiter was terrific. Two bottles of red wine were at a warm room temperature and needed a slight chilling. Don't they have a wine cellar for such a great list?
