Be sure you know what procedures you will legally be able to do when out in the workforce. A completion certificate does not mean you will be a certified dental assistant. After two years working full time as a dental assistant qualifies you to sit for the CDA exam through DANB. RDAs are the only dental assistants allowed to perform expanded duties in Michigan.
