Over a 25 year history of Kidney stones and now stage 2 CKD. I miss her immensely at UPMC Mercy now that I’m filled with stones again. If you need urology she is your person.
Over a 40 year history of kidneys stones, several Urologists…I can honestly say she is the best! She is timely in getting back to you, an excellent surgeon, always helpful and compassionate.
Dr Semins was the first doctor to stop chronic formation of kidney stones following menopause. To say I am grateful is an understatement. I had six lithotripsy surgeries to remove large stones but since meeting Dr Semins, I have been stone free for three years. She is incredibly kind, supportive, knowledgeable and I wish I could say thank you to her a million times!!
Dr. Semins did surgery on me--which I was fine with, but with the prescription she wrote out for me after my surgery that I had taken a while back from a different doctor, and after taking it a few times, I realized it was causing me to have diarrhea. I'm just very annoyed she wrote the prescription for me. I will neither have it filled out, nor recommend her to anyone.
Other than Dr. Semins expertise as a surgeon, which is superior, she is the kindest, sweetest doctor I have ever met. She was able to remove my husband very large staghorn kidney stone and an additional kidney stone in the other kidney in 2 procedures. We couldn't have been more pleased with Dr. Semins as a doctor and as a person.
