I went to the ER twice (once in Kalkaska, and once in TC) due to extreme lower abdominal pain. I had a CT scan and then later an MRI and found out I had a Cantaloupe sized ovarian cyst. Dr.Michelin was consulted due to a chance that it may involve cancer. I called his office (as per instructions from the first ER visit) for a follow-up, and was told that my cancer markers were negative so he would not be seeing me and I should see the other gynecologist. Dr. Michelin and his entire staff were outstanding in their care for me. Dr. Michelin took the time to come in and introduce himself before I was in the undignified position of being on the table with my feet in the stirrups. He was professional, thorough, answered all my questions, and did not rush. Every staff member I had contact with in the office and on the phone were all kind, caring, and professional. I am very confident I am in good hands with them and would highly recommend them.
I am so very grateful to Dr. Michelin and his team for their kindness and understanding. Dr. Michelin explained everything so I could understand. My friend Carol was with me who is a retired doctor and also thought he was the best doctor to care for me. I thank him so much for everything.
I was a patient in December 2019, having undergone a hysterectomy for endometrial cancer. I was notified by a nurse of my genetic testing and told I did not have Lynch syndrome. The nurse at the time was somewhat confused by the results, I took her as a professional who would know. I met with Dr. Michelin and was told I had a 2% chance that the cancer would return.
