Not what I expected Was going to give Michelle a yearly try but only lasted two haircuts. She is very rude but she did teach me a lot about my hair type. She does not listen to you plus she blamed me for any problems I was having with my hair. I came out of there with a bad 80s haircut or what I call the buffalo look- Not why I went there. I could have gone to a chain salon for that.
RecommendedAfter 30-plus years, Michele is still the best, the only person I'll let near me with a pair of scissors - except for Carl.
My teenage son has had Carl cut his hair twice. Both times he was thrilled. Carl listens to what you want, and takes his time. The results are great! Carl is a barber. His mom is Michele. She is a hairdresser. It’s nice to have both in-house. The price is reasonable for an Elmwood salon ($22 plus tip.) Carl is now our permanent barber! One thing, your appointment will probably start late, but that’s because Carl does not rush. Leave yourself extra time.

Absolutely amazing. Michele took so much time with my hair and it came out perfectly. The atmosphere of the salon is welcoming and relaxing. I'm so pleased and I'll definitely be back!
This place was very nice. I walked in and they made sure I was taken care of. Michelle knew what she was talking about. And Carl gave me a haircut I love. Your salon is now my go to place.

My sweet daughter has curly beautiful hair. She was treating herself for a hair "trim" at this salon. She was specific that "only an inch" to be cut off. Her hair is curly, it looks longer wet. So an inch cut will look more like 2" cut when it dries. The stylist cut several inches off her bangs and her ends. The poor thing has no bangs left. He left with the look of 4" cut off. It was unevenly cut as well. She is devastated. You would think a stylist has learned about all types of hair and how to appropriately style/cut it. ... read more
