After months of increasing leg pain and numbness, and no relief after physical therapy or chiropractic, my nurse practitioner suggested Rockford Spine Center. I saw Dr. Roh and had a minimally invasive discectomy and fusion of L4-5. Immediately after surgery the pain and numbness were gone. Immediately! I was able to go home the same day, climb stairs and sleep in my own bed. Post op discomfort was just that, discomfort and nothing compared to what I had dealt with prior to surgery. I took the prescribed pain med for 24 hour... read more
I went with my wife to this guy to find out my wife has some pretty severe spinal issues. He shushed away all our concerns so he could talk to himself about how he would do surgery. He commented about how he'd never seen anything quite like it said they would wait to do surgery until the pain was too great to bear. Possibly when you are incontinent and can no longer feel your feet. He abruptly left after having spent most of his time talking to himself. We came there with concerns looking for some hope and left discouraged w... read more
Dr. Roh and his staff were very professional and caring. Everything about the process and surgery went very well and I am pleased with the result. I suffered from sciatica for years. It is so great to be out of pain. I would highly recommend Dr. Roh and Rockford Spine Center to anyone having back issues.
Dr. Michael Roh was kind, thorough and caring. He put me at ease immediately. Dr. Roh explanations were clear and precise about L5/S1 back fusion. My experience with him was a five star experience. He genuinely cares about his patients and it shows.
Even if the result of my procedure with RSC was only relief from constant pain, it would have been the best decision I made all year. But that and my experience with Dr Michael Roh, Matthew Schwabero, nurse Casey, and their staff is now an invaluable memory that will stay with me for years. They invest in you as a person as much as a patient. They understand how constant pain colors everything you enjoy, sleeping, sitting down to dinner, the time you spend with family. You know how you need to constantly drive around the par... read more
It sounds simple to just say thank you, but Dr. Roh and his staff have changed my life and thank you comes no where close to expressing my gratitude. Always caring and able to work around my crazy schedule. From physical therapy, to pain management and Dr. Roh and Matthew I have never experienced that complete level of care. I had a fusion at L3, L4 , and finally feel like my old self again. I would not hesitate to recommend this amazing Doctor and his complete staff. Doctor Roh made me feel very safe and confident going int... read more
Dr. Michael S. Roh is one of the best doctors we have ever visited. Friendly, explains everything and makes sure we understand. The surgery went great and we would recommend Dr. Roh to everyone.
He walked out during office visit and I waited for him to return and finish answering my questions, he never returned. He had a student with him and talked to the student in front of me as if I were not in the room. Told the student that I was minimizing my pain for some reason. What? Ordered the incorrect MRI by mistake, no apology. This happened because a non-clinical person ordered it on the phone by asking questions so it would be ready for doctor when I came in. She actually ordered it, not the doctor. So, he looked at ... read more
The Artistry of Dr. Michael Soo Roh, MD [I had intractable upper limb pain & Dr. Roh removed it ALL. My full review can be found elsewhere for fuller understanding. The following is simply postscript.] I possess the mildest form of what I would call synesthesia. With me, incoming sensory data may be coloured by gossamer sound. When sound is harmonious, we refer to it as music. To augment understanding, listen to Ludovico Einaudi’s composition entitled Numbers (from Elements). I would venture the ending cello stringed flouris... read more
