Love the place- the great parties, the music and the food!
Great patio. I ordered the special panini sandwich the bread had to be stale before it got pressed as it was harder than a rock. My granddaughter had the turkey club, turkey extreamly dried out. My parents split a reuben, wanted swiss got cheddar. Two seperated wait staff asked if we wanted refills on drinks, never refilled until I went and asked in the bar. Beautiful location, crummy food & service.
Excellent place for lunch, particularly if the weather is nice and the patio has some seating left. The food is very good, the staff is remarkably friendly, and the view as you eat is a small creek bed. I like the Mexican place next to it and will hit that place instead once in a while. But Michael's is a must-stop-at kind of place for me.

Best outside patio in SC County for a happy hour cocktail. Stop and look for the rabbit in the tree.
Cozy and quaint ! Celebrated my friends retirement party there, had a great time.
One of my favorite Santa Cruz restaurants. The pistachio crusted salmon with risotto is fabulous. I keep going back for that dish, or the salads. The Tuesday night wine pairings are a great deal and very enjoyable.
The food was pretty good say 7 out of 10...Wait staff not great...After dinner coffee old and tepid!
Cancelling an event that has been on the books for one year and inconveniencing MANY customers who have been coming to your restaurant for years was a very poor business decision. If you book an event at this restaurant, make very sure you get a written contract so that they are held responsible for honoring their word. I'm sorry to say, after recommending Michael's on Main to literally hundreds of people for the past 4 years, that I cannot in good conscience do so any longer.
