I have had no negative interaction with any of the staff. They were absolutely wonderful. His test showed another issue and he referred me to the needed specialist which also handled my situation very outstanding.

They still have same issues with wait time on phone to speak with a person of 20-30 minutes that someone mentioned them having a year+ ago. Any practice that has an issue like this and makes no effort to correct it over the course of a year concerns me greatly. That said he was nice to my handicapped sister and at first appointment seemed competent and efficient. Dr Valantas’s practice being the only one that takes Medicare makes more sense now. They get paid Medicare rates so they can’t afford another person for the phones.... read more

My experience with Dr Valantas has always been positive. He listens to my concerns and makes sure all my questions are answered. The practice is busy, so it can take a while to get a routine appointment, but I've always been treated well there.

Dr. Valantas is the best doctor I've ever seen. He is very knowledgeable, personable, and thorough. He is meticulous in his diagnostic process and takes the time to look at every aspect of my presenting problem. I have never rated a doctor with 5 stars, but he deserves it. The two star rating must be from disgruntled patients. I give him 5 stars. I've finally met an outstanding doctor in Anchorage.

The average hold time when you call the office is 10-20 mins before you speak with an actual human being. The doctor made it fairly obvious I was being rushed through and didn't have much invested in bedside manner. Also I remembered more than half my procedure because I wasn't well sedated and he didn't want to address this during the uncomfortable procedure. I have since switched doctors.
