Dr. Willbourn is a truly horrible human and even worse PRE. If you are going through a custody case and Dr. Willbourn's name comes as a recommendation, RUN. If you read all of the other reviews that state just how horrible he is, worriedly ask your lawyer and they dismiss it and tell you he will be fine, DON'T listen. He rips families apart, puts children in the worse case scenario situations and is totally 100% bias. He does not even attempt to do a good job of showing he truly has the best interest of the child. I felt he was very fair and thoroughly investigated the situation.

Dr. Wilbourn is biased to the parent who pays him. I have seen this on many occasions. Many clients have reported that he frequently falls asleep during his sessions. He makes recommendations on custody without ever visiting the parents home environment. He has made decisions without interviewing the child. His decisions are consistently based on who he likes rather than who is the better parent. He rarely talks to any of the other professionals in the case. Total waste of $. He is unethical.

He'll treat you like a friend but sting you with his report. He wont question the results of his "test" results, so if they come out ridiculous like you're a mental case, you are sunk. If your spouse tells scathing lies, you won't know until he releases his report. If you need a marriage counselor to support you, forget it. He won't get a court-order to force spousal consent . He writes his report with the assumption everyone and all results are accurate. He's not worth your money.

Mike Wilbourn is in this business for the right reasons – he genuinely cares about children and wants the best outcome for them. His methods may be a little unconventional and old-fashioned, but they are done with purpose and come from the long experience that Dr. Wilbourn has had in doing these evaluations. He did an excellent job of identifying the situation, learning about the case and providing a recommendation. His testimony was also well-done. I think what really stuck out to me was that h
