My interests are in arthroscopy, sports medicine and joint replacement. I follow the sports medicine approach of the goal being returning the patient "to play" be that sport, work or simply the activities that they enjoy. We always try to provide care with compassion. I provide my patients with educational opportunities so that they can be intimately involved in the decision-making regarding their care as I feel strongly that such care is always a partnership between physician and patient.

I had a total hip replacement and it really was a great relief, Dr Gruber was very clear on what to expect and did a wonderful job, I have recomented him to others already. The whole staff was great ,professional and kind. If I had known how easy it was going to be I would not have put it off for so long. Thank you!1
If you are overweight save yourself the time and humiliation do not go to this group. I am from out of town - in Georgia to care for my daughter who was seriously injured in an auto accident. I went to him on a recommendation of a friend here in Georgia because of a very painful knee. Xray's were taken and ultimately his opinion was that I was too fat. He wouldn't even try to find a knee brace because he was sure he didn't have one that would fit. Insult after insult.
My father had an elective surgery, a hip replacement. Pre-checked by 5 doctors to make sure he was in good shape for the operation. Operation went great and was going to get out a day early. During Dr Gruber's post operative care ...he turned the case over to Dr Ballyntyne and during the course over the evening until 7 am he wasn't getting enough oxygen. No oxygen tube was given and by 7.30am he was brain dead with severe hypoxic encephalopathy. Nurse found him discolored and not breathing
I am so very disappointed in the results of my bunion and hammer toe surgery. My middle toe now permanently crosses over the next two which is painful and makes it very hard to find shoes. Cosmetically it is very deformed looking. Dr. Gruber is aware of my issues and showed no concern. The only thing he said to me is You have good flexibility.
