One of the best knee and hip replacement surgeons in America. Did both my knees. If he's good enough for Coach K, he certainly must be Great!
I made my first call for appt 1/24.. appointments October. In May I was called Dr not in clinic, so I took Nov appointment with PA. Another month to get MRI. PA retires. Another 2 weeks to get results. I had a bone marrow edema gave me medicine plus non weight bearing through their portal NO appt. Had appt with Dr for May, not in clinic so took appt AGAIN with PA for April. Called a different Dr saw him in 2 weeks and got my knee replacement scheduled. Bolo did a total knee replacement for both knees. Left was 5 months ago, right knee was 8 weeks ago. Yup, there is some stiffness with the new joints, and my body is still learning how to use them. I think the biggest factor is my muscle memory from the old joints with limited flexibility now is limited by my muscle flexibility - there are stretching pains. That said, I am rowing 2.5 miles 3 days a wk, biking 15 miles 5 days a week, and playing pickleball 2 hrs for 3 days a week - more activity and much less pain. Excellent ... read more
Dr Bolognesi did R TKR on me August 2019. He is terrific, I'm very pleased with my results, with Dr Bolognesi and his staff!!! Update 4/2024, about 6 months after my surgery I ended up with nerve damage from my knee replacement and Dr. Bolognese wants to see me once a year. He doesn't do anything for my nerve pain and numbness and now I have numbness in my toes!
