I am heartbroken to learn that Dr. Gardner is no longer with St, Peters Health Care Partners. He started the practice alone in the mid 1980's. Dr. Gardner has been my Primary Care Providers for 36 years. He was great with me. I am now 81 yrs. old and feel a since of loss. Because I have high confidence in Richard Clark, PA. I intend to stay with the practice. The earliest date for my annual physical with Richard Clark is April 2024. Dan Serrell 7/27/1923

Dr Gardner is wonderful but you can't get in to see him. Today we called with an urgent medical situation at 10 am. We were told we'd get a callback. At 3:30 we tried again. We were told we were on the list but they were busy and understaffed. My husband is over 70 and a cardiac patient and had tested positive for COVID-19. After 30 years with this office we are done with them. Rating below is for Dr Gardner but as I said it's impossible to see him.

Dr. Gardner was able to identify a solution to a serious medical condition I have instant, whereas 6 months of going to the ER 3 x week led to nothing. However, some of his front office staff and nurses have severe attitude problems and are incompetent.

Dr. Gardner's specialty is bedside manner, not medical care. He would be the best bartender in Albany if he were in the right field, but as a doctor he completely failed me. I went to his office worried about cholesterol and my heart. I had 6 months of benefits for them to work with, but they scheduled some test of my liver function after that. I had to stop their treatment because I did not know if it was damaging my liver, and I had a heart attack a couple months after that. They could have had me on Lipitor like I am now.... read more

He has always been great with me. very knowledgeable with diagnosis and empathetic. Also can't say enough good things about PA Richard Clark. I went to Dr. Gardner when my pcp retired because many of my nurse friends recommended him. Front office staff are usually warm and helpful. RN's who worked with him in the ER. many years ago said he was right on track.

i Have been going to Dr. Gardner for well over 30 years and I must say the group of front office staff are very rude. I filled out my sign in information and and the girl at the desk had her back to me as she was talking to one other girl. That other girl saw me and just continued on with their conversation. And when I checked out the woman never acknowledged me never said thank you and on top of all that was chewing and clicking gum in my face! The window receptionist was also chewing gum. How stinkin unprofessional. Can’t ... read more

He refused to refill a script claiming he would never prescribe that dosage of meds. He and his PA had done it for years. I have the records to prove it! He left me hanging on a friday acternoon after ignoring it all week. HIPPA doesn't seem to matter as he told me that when my brother came in for check ups, my brother would sit and cry in exam room so much that the staff made fun of him calling him "weepy teary". My Dad was his patient also and was told six weeks of diarrhea was nothing more than old fashioned case of "grip... read more

Poorly trained front office. Staff is simply rude, and unprofessional. Further the office does not accept electronic medical records, which is unbelievable in 2018. If you are not sick when you visit this office, you will be after dealing with them.
