Dr. Fitzgerald is truly one of a kind. He leaves no stones unturned and goes way above the call of duty. He is highly knowledgeable and thorough in caring for his patients. You will never feel like just a number. When diagnostic testing is off he goes out of his way to be reassuring while resolving the issue. There are no proper numeric measurements to define his commitment to medicine. Physicians as Dr. Fitzgerald are far and few in between. We are blessed to have him care for our family.
I have been a patient of Dr. Fitzgerald for many years and have always found him to be someone who listens to any concerns I might have and when necessary will recommend a specialist to me. He is always caring and thoughtful. He also sees my son who is going through a major health issue and is working with several other doctors to make sure my son gets the best care. I couldn’t ask for a better doctor.
Dr. Fitzgerald is thoughtful and caring. Our family has trusted him since shortly after he began his practice in Naperville and he has led us through many serious and not so serious encounters. He has suggested various specialists when appropriate and worked with them to get the best results.
This is absolutely the most irresponsible doctor that I have ever had. Did not refer me to appropriate service until I figured it out myself, and demanded me to see me in person again to get a referral after I just saw him for exactly the same reason a few weeks ago. I scheduled an 8 am appointment with him, but waited for an hour to be been. After he promised to extend a referral, he did not put it as a request in the medical group unitl 3 weeks later. WORST PCP ever!
Dr. Fitzgerald has helped our family so much over the years. We end up dealing with specialists outside of DuPage Medical Group, and they don't always share our sense of urgency. The experience that prompted me to write this review was Dr. Fitzgerald working with us to get medication our son needed, going into surgery. When the radiologist didn't even return our call, Dr. Fitzgerald's office reviewed his records, and renewed medication. They are always there for us.
