I would not recommend this doctor. I saw him for interventional radiology for thyroid malignancy. He flat out declined doing radio ablation on the thyroid even though its done by other doctors elsewhere. He stated if the malignancy was in the liver he might be able to do it better but the thyroid has too many nerves. He also pointed out a doomsday death scenario and didn't hear anything I tried to say. He then began lecturing me in a rather father condescending son type of scenario. Dr Katz almost killed my son. My son was admitted to Cedars Sinai on January 31st, 2017 and placed on heart transplant priority list. His heart was getting weak. On February 7th, 2017 Dr Katz performed a liver biopsy on my son. It was an Ultrasound guided liver biopsy. Dr Katz injured my son's hepatic artery and punctured both lobes and he was so negligent that he did not see the injury to my son's liver. No recovery period. He was transferred back to his room.
