After a significant weight loss & a less than satisfactory experience with another surgeon, I felt more uncomfortable in my skin than ever before. After reviewing my case and medical history, he tirelessly advocated for a corrective procedure for me with my insurance company. I chose Dr. Carlisle for my corrective panniculectomy, & used him for elective skin removal from my thighs & a breast augmentation. I couldn't be more pleased with his communication, staff, surgical talent & sense of humor
Dr. C is fantastic. I don't get too excited about doctors in general, but he is great. I lost a bunch of weight and had a lot of hanging skin everywhere. He explained everything in detail, gave me options, yet helped me decided what was best for my situation. I have had multiple surgeries to get my body back in order and I am so happy i did it. Happier I went to Dr. C. He helped me select the best option for me. He is honest and caring in that way. Not all surgeons appear to be. Great results.
Dr. Carlisle did my reconstruction after a prophylactic bilateral mastectomy. Throughout the different phases of reconstruction I was well informed of what to expect and felt like a part of the team. When I had a concern, he made time to see me and considered the whole patient (other medical conditions). At no time was I hesitant to call or ask questions. He listens well and is both compassionate and dedicated. Thanks to Dr. Carlisle's expertise, the outcome is better than I expected.

I had Dr. Carlisle do a nose surgery (nose job, rhinoplasty...whatever). The whole experience was great, especially when my swelling went down and I could see that my nose looks amazing. And I can breathe! The first week of recovery can be tough, but totally worth it. You hear of a lot of bad nose jobs, but from the moment I met Dr. Carlisle, I could tell he knew his stuff and had the skills to fix me up. My nose was a mess. Not anymore! Very happy to recommend him.
Extremely skilled at plastic surgery of the face. This is what I saw him for. Friend recommended him after breast surgery. Great at understanding your concerns and explaining the best way to improve them. He delivered! SO happy. Great personality and willing to hear all my concerns. I agree with the person who said they were leery about going downtown, but it was the right choice. Not a fancy boutique because he focuses on specialty, not decor. Great surgeon. Great results. Highly recommend.
I went to Dr. Carlisle for a tummy tuck and liposuction of my thighs. Couldn?t get rid of it despite weight loss. These areas continued to bother me. He is very thorough, kind, fun, and skilled! Feel like a new woman and thankful I went to him. He?s very confident, but not arrogant, honest, and he delivered! I have already sent some of my friends to him.
Dealing with diagnosis of breast cancer , the many treatments, surgical options, and continuing care that is available out there is hard enough. Dr. Carlisle, his office staff, and the hospital staff made my dealing with cancer much easier. DIEP procedure may not be for everyone, it was the option I choose. I am thankful for this surgical option and the availability in DesMoines with a caring doctor, Dr. Carlisle. A nurse who loves to research/teach I appreciated the great skill of Dr. Carlisle.
I had a skin cancer on my nose and Dr. Carlisle removed it and fixed it. I was very nervous to have reconstruction on my nose, but I am so happy Dr. Carlisle did it. I had no idea how he was going to make that big of a hole look good, but he did! If I need or want any plastic surgery in the future, I will definitely go to him.
