I saw Dr. Perrone for a forefoot injury sustained from overuse playing tennis. He cleared my plantar plate on physical exam, diagnosed Morton's neuroma, and injected cortisone. The cortisone masked the pain, so I continued walking and pushing off on what turned out to be a torn plantar plate — ultimately retearing the ligament.
