Great non-first date spot – Had a great time here. I called this morning and made reservations. Was delightfully surprised when we walked in and were seated IMMEDIATELY by very attentive staff. Our server, Phil, was great. Helped us select items. The extra staff was great with delivery, removal, waters, etc. The food was great. We had the Ricotta with honey, I loved. The Fave Bean app was great. The Neopolitan Pizza is very flavorful. Vanilla Creme Brulee is delish and sized to share. I was expected a "small plate" in the ve... read more

Make Sure You're Part of the Crowd – The patrons were all the twenty-somethings and , judging by the noise of conversations, all were having a wonderful time. The food was excellent (we had two different fish courses--salmon and swordfish--and shared a spicy pasta amtriciana--which was in the menu as bucatini but when served was the usual spaghetti--and had no wine because the restaurant does not have a liquor license (as of 30 August 2005)). The menu, a little skimpy on offerings, listed pork chops and two chicken dishes as... read more

User review by sleopold – this restaurant was good. the food i had was delicious, i had the salmon and shrimp along with a special appetizer that was a pepper brushetta. i did not have to wait for seating but i ate outside on the patio that was very nice, the inside of the restaurant was absolutely crazy and i couldnt even imagine eating in there. the bathrooms are in a very bad spot right in the middle of the traffic between in/outdoor seating and the bus boy station. on top of it, there is only one stall for each. overall,... read more

Favorite Italian Food in the city – The Taylor St. Francesca's loses my reservations every time I make them, but I never fail with Bryn Mawr. It's managed well, the food is excellent, and it's a great value. I bring all of my out of town guests here. Delicious.

Chic, comfortable and undeniably romantic, this Italian hot spot has the makings of a great date spot. – In Short A stylish addition to the Francesca's family of restaurants, this multi-room space features two dining rooms with fireplaces, an exhibition kitchen and an indoor patio room that opens to sidewalk seating in summer. Black-and-white photography, flickering candles and rich, pasta-related scents further combine comfort and couture. The ever-revolving menu of Italian favorites might include spinach-filled pasta with ... read more

Recommded – This place has some good food at a good price. The pasta dishes and fish are very good. We always go in a large group, but always get good seating. Can get crowded so reservations are recommended.

Great Italian food at reasonable prices makes this rustic trattoria a popular choice for suburbanites. – In Short The charm of this place lies in its relaxed, understated decor. Attractive sepia-toned photos recall a pastoral Italy, while a rolled copper-mesh ceiling muffles much of the noise from the hardwood floors below. Starters on the classic Italian menu include favorites like fried calamari, bruschetta and risotto. Among entrees, roasted veal medallions are plated with colorful baby artichokes and wild mushrooms, whil... read more

This always-packed Italian spot serves up satisfying fare to a merry, mixed crowd. – In Short The atmosphere at this Wrigleyville fave is frenetic and loud with chatter, laughter, clinking glasses and cheers. The contemporary Italian menu offers tasty plates like sirloin carpaccio and asparagus risotto, plus four-cheese or seafood pizzas, pastas, and entrees like veal medallions with porcini mushrooms and roasted chicken with rosemary, lemon and caramelized shallots. For dessert, the gelati (Italian ice creams)--pistachio, c... read more

Disappointing – This restaurant was highly recommended by a friend and encouraged by it's great review in the Zagat guide. I couldn't wait to try it, however after my experience, I have no idea what it is that people like about this restaurant. The decor is nice, but the acoustics are awful. It was so loud inside that I had to struggle to hear my date and the waiter couldn't hear us when he was four feet away. I was willing to forgive these flaws if the food was worth it, but again I was disappointed with a bland entree. I a... read more
