was expecting more... – i would have to say that i was disappointed. Food was not all that great and the portions were tiny. The service was good, but could not make up for the disappointment with the food. I would think twice before going in there again, especially with all the other good alternatives in the neighborhood.
Very Tasty! – The food was excellent, but it is a loud atmosphere. If you are prepared for it though you will enjoy the overall ambiance and the delicious food. We went on a Friday night with no reservation and really didn't have to wait that long. We had an appetizer at the bar and the service was great!
Busy, loud, but some people like it that way – I've been to Mia Francesca a number of times, never had a bad experience. It's always packed, always loud and always tasty. Good service and helpful waiters. Tables are extremely close together, you have to climb over your neighbors to leave or go to the restroom.
Great Spot – Menu changes frequently and I have never had anything that wasn't good to great. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and experience. The amibience is nice and cozy. I highly recommend a visit.
Simple Delicious Italian ! – Francesca's on Taylor is outstanding. The service was great. I got the Prosciutto (Italian dried Ham) on Melon as an appetizer. It was delicious! The bread is fantastic. Be sure to use the olive oil at the table to dip the bread in,, MMMMM DELICIOUS. For my main entree, I chose Pollo Alla Salvia which is a boneless chicken breast with mozarella cheese and prosciutto baked on top. Excellent – I thought this place was great. Our server was helpful. the food was great, and the price wasnt bad. I also went early on a week day but I really enjoyed it and would go back again.
For cheap, good Italian eats, check it out – I had read a lot about Francesca's, and I was intrigued. I had called to make a reservation at 6 on a Saturday night and told it would be a 45 minute wait. When we arrived at 5:45 we were seated immediately. Anyways, the food was excellent, the service prompt and efficient albeit not the friendliest. The portions were quite nice and we even took some food home. This is a great place for classic Tuscan food at a reasonable price, with a fun atmosphere.
BAD, BAD, BAD!!! – Server kept interrupting our conversation every time he was at our table, making us feel rushed. After I asked him to split our $120 bill 3 ways he said: You going to have to do this yourself and walked off. He put all the tax on 1 persons credit card instead of splitting it 3 ways as well.
