Too big a menu to be good? I think this may be a case of a place just having too many things on the menu which results in none of them being very good or tasting unique. I tried this place a few times and, at best, it was so-so. I do think they could turn it around, but I won't be going back any time soon.
Yuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never in my life been more disappointed in a meal! The worst part of the whole experience is that while I am waiting, I am reading about how this is the greatest place to buy a burrito in all Rancho Penasquitos. Things sure have changed since that review. I ordered two things: a breakfast burrito (served all day) and a California Burrito (perhaps the greatest food to be found in San Diego). Okay, but nothing special I wasn't terribly impressed with the food here. It wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. The rolled tacos were pretty greasy and more chewy than crunch. I don't think I'd try it again.
Ok Mi ranchito is pretty decent. Its not on my top list of mexican places to go to, but if im in the neighborhood and dying for some rolled tacos w/ guac, which I think are their best items, I will def. stop by
great food!! Not the typical taco shop The Food is great the location a little out of the way but way worth it. The owner Mauricio will treat you right! Go and enjoy
Decent Quality, Higher Price than Competition It's a quaint little place behind McDonalds, next to where Little Caesars used to be. The quality is not as good as other "hole in the wall" taco shops, but it’s close to many people living in PQ. If you wait for coupons to come out, then you can save, because they're normal prices are a little higher than the competitions.
Ah yes, Mi Ranchito! One of the better fast food Mexican restaurants - all the typical food you might expect. Tacos, burritos, quesadillas, it’s all here. Order at a counter and wait a few minutes while they make it up for you. This place is hidden just off the 15 at Rancho Penasquitos Blvd. Delicious and nutritious!
