MH CARES has truly made a difference in my life. I was dealing with workplace trauma and didn’t know how to handle everything that came with it. Makahla helped me work through the stress, anxiety, and self-doubt with care and understanding. She made scheduling easy, was always on time, and created a safe space where I could be honest and heal. I’m very thankful for the support I received highly recommend to anyone going through workplace challenges or emotional stress.

Finally got the courage to make it to a therapist. I booked the appointment 2 weeks in advance, I’ve been looking forward to this session. I was not able to find the place, the address on the website and social media page is incorrect for the Boynton location. I came to an office that is not even open for business. I called numerous of times and left a voicemail to have some kind of guidance. No one got back to me and now I’m needing to search of a new place. It was difficult to admit that I needed a professional to speak to. Makahala was warm but firm. She met me where I was. view myself as very macho so her getting me to see things that I had refused to acknowledge and heal from was very transformative and freeing.
