don't go here! – I guess I can't really review the food but the waitress was really rude. Sat me down and two minutes later told me restaurant was all reserved. Then told me to follow her after I asked "well can I get an order to go?" and she said again it was all reserved (there were three people total in the restaurant on a Thursday night). I asked her if there was a problem and she took me to the BACK entrance and kicked me out. They won't be getting a DIME from me! Ever!
Nice Italian Joint in the Valley! – We went to Mezzomondo in Studio City for the first time today. The food was delicious and I appreciated the portions they served. It was just right. The Four O Five Salad was very refreshing! The restaurant owned and operated by a couple has a warm interior, great service, and good food. We ordered all vegetarian dishes, mainly pasta. The Arrabiata sauce was very tasty and spicy. Today was my husband's birthday and they made it special for us. We are sure to revisit the place sometime soon... read more
Very comfortable atmosphere and very good food – Attentive and friendly service. Great house Chianti and simple, reasonably sized, tasty dishes. The price is right for what you are getting.
Good food, quant and possibly romantic ambiance – the food here is phenomenal! For an LA Italian restaurant, it rivals NY's best. The restaurant is owned by a very nice couple who are always excited to tell about the specials of the day. very quaint restaurant with some romantic outdoor seating.
Great food, great experience! – We went there for the first time last week, and will be back! Great selection of food, homemade pastas, friendly staff. The setting was quite intimate, parking on Ventura was pretty open around 8pm.
mezzo mundo! – I agree with the other positive things I've read here about Mezzo Mundo. IT's a great place to eat, real authentic fresh food, with a good wine list and friendly staff. I've been going here for years and have never had a bad experience.
Our Favorite Italian – I?ve been to Italy several times, and even attended cooking schools there. I have yet to find a restaurant in the US that reminds me as much of Italy as Mezzo Mondo does. My husband and I eat here regularly and always have excellent meals ? in fact, it?s our favorite Italian restaurant outside of Italy. Great service, outstanding fresh food – I'm a local (Studio City) and was looking for a great Italian place in the 'hood. Miceli's is nice, but too cliched. Giorgio's is good, but I got tired of fighting for parking. Then I found the Italian jewel: Mezzo Mondo. Run by Italians, this place has the mood and food of places I visited while in Florence.
