We were notified on 5/28 (today) that our condo that has been booked since December 2020 would no longer be available for our family vacation...in 5 days (6/3-6/9). My sister-in-law is getting married in Orange Beach and we are scheduled to Make the 12 hour drive from St. Louis, Missouri and now myself, my wife and my 1 & 3 year old boys have nowhere to go and nobody at this company seems to care at all. This is an absolute gut punch and I will see till my last breath that everyone knows how this company operates.

In mid March of 2021 I visited the Meyer Vacation rental web site to find a rental and plan a vacation in Gulf Shores. I found a condo that suited my family's needs and a date in June that the condo was availiable. I paid my deposit and the balance due was to be charged to my credit card 30 days prior to our arrival. 30 days prior to arrival instead of my credit card being charged I got a call that the property was not avaliable due to hurricane damage last year. There are many factors that are working against the properties being ready for occupancy due to Hurricane Sally damage last fall that include supply delays and contractor issues. My husband and I have been coming to Gulf Shores for almost 20 years. We are snowbirds and have always rented through Meyer Real Estate. The first couple of years, we were impressed--both with the rental units and with the activities Meyer provided. Granted, some of these visits were during "dry" times for Gulf Shores--post Ivan and just after the oil spill. Now, things seem to be changing, and the units that Meyer represents leave quite a bit to be desired. The units are not well-maintained, and they are not all that clean.... read more

I had a reservation that happened to be around the time of hurricane delta. Our check-in time was the Thursday before the storm was supposed to hit however we were told that reservations were canceled for a few days since the governor ordered a mandatory evacuation. This company that I have done business with for over 10 years has decided not to work with me at all! I even spoke with Michelle the president of the company and she offered nothing. Stayed at the Beach Club room 702D. Upon arrival room had not been cleaned. Room was damaged on basically every wall, dirty floors, dirty dish water and rag in kitchen, last occupants things left behind etc. NOT what you expect out of a Beach Club rental at all. Very Disappointed and Dissatisfied with the whole trip experience. Highly Don't recommend!

Terrible service from this company. It started with the check-in when we could not find our designated parking space. Spent an hour looking under bumpers in the parking lot for our space only to discover it was in a garage under renovation. We could not figure out how to enter the building with the instructions provided and no help was available when we called. Condo was in marginal condition with broken doors, mold in the shower and around the windows, and multiple dents in the walls. A/C failed on Saturday night and we cou... read more

When you rent a place from a reputable company then you would expect it to be at least decent and average, but you would hope it would be even nicer. We called immediately upon check-in concerning our master bedroom. The mattress was beyond squeaky and the headboard was not attached to the frame. Therefore, every time you sat down or just turned over in the bed, the headboard would slam against the wall and it was just completely uncomfortable and ridiculous.
