I lived on 16th and Bagley as a kid. We have been going to Mexican Village since I can remember. The food is good, and the service is as well. It is one of my all time favorites to go to in old neighbor hood.

BEST Mexican place in the area I adore this restaurant. It has the absolute best Mexican cuisine the city, possibly the state has to offer. It's a shame the place is located in a terrible section of town, because I'm guessing a lot of people are scared off. Do yourself a favor. If you ever go to Detroit, GO HERE! good place........but a great place for mexican food it is excellent.but dont go down there unless you are loaded even in the daytime,the crime is so bad all the regulars have left.to many robberies and muggings going on.they have guards but it doesnt seem to be doing any good,too bad it will ruin thier business.we use to go down all the time for the mexican festival and the things they did down there.not any more we steer clear.

My Favorite Mexican Restaurant This place is awesome! They have cozy corners and lovely atmosphere, a full bar and food to rave about. Service is always fast and friendly. Try the chunky beef Mexican sandwich, a specialty only available at Mexican Village or the shredded beef fried flour tacos, delicious! great Mexican Food I love this food. During the summer I go there quite often. I always have left overs and the drinks are great. The staff are so nice and lets you know what good deals are going on. I would recommend this place to others who are looking for good Mexican food.

Good food My girlfriend and I eat here regularly . I love there food . We actually order one meal and share because they give you so much . The cost is reasonable and the service is really good . I would recommend this restaurant to others.

It’s our most favorite of all Mexican restaurants and I mean all! Can’t say enough how much we love ❤️ this awesome 👏🏻 Mexican restaurant! The waiters and waitresses are awesome! ALWAYS TOTALLY 💯 % helpful, nice, patient and just a delight ☺️ ohhh and the food is OMG delicious!!! 😋 all of it, everything!

Went to this restaurant Friday for my brother’s birthday. Everything was fine till the bill came out. The young lady gave us the bill which we asked at the beginning for separate bills but she came with one bill and all parties was on it. I agreed to just pay the bill and I will get the money from my family. I gave her my card for payment and when she came back she had a different amount on the bill that was much higher than what we saw at first. The food is always good and the waitress was fine.. but there was a gnat in one of our food and the flew into one of our alcoholic drinks.. the so called manger said oh well nothing we can do because gnats come with the food….. what???!!!! I’m done!!!
