I am a former resident of one of Metropolitan’s properties in MD. I paid an $800 deposit but their property manager is claiming that I only paid $500 total even though I have the money order receipts and pictures of the money orders showing I paid an $800 deposit. I emailed them asking for invoices for the false damages they are claiming onto my deposit and I also asked them why they didn’t put my entire $800 deposit into escrow as required by Maryland law and they are refusing to respond. I'm a resident at one of the properties they manage - Altitude Apartments in Malden, MA. I'm a current resident whose one year lease is about to get over and I CAN'T WAIT TO GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE. Here's my experience of the past one year of my stay here: 1.) My stuff got taken away by some other resident when I was moving in the apartment. I had to call the police to get my stuff back. 2.) Management group owns a bunch of properties. One of their properties specifically the Wakefield vista or now renamed nexxus apartments has a manager who’s been absolutely nasty to my mother who lives on site. Aggressive to people he comes across in the parking lot, received a call with her in tears after a conversation with this man. I Call to see if I can speak to someone about his actions and I’m told I can’t speak with anyone about it. Only allowed to file a police report if needed and then I can speak to their lawyers.
