My father in law had a Party Store/Bodega here many years ago. He prospered and sold it. Metropolis Cycles is a great place and I am glad to see the store in great hands. Great bike shop!!!
This location, 2125 Michigan Avenue was where Borinquen Market used to be for many years before my father, Damaso Flores retired and sold the business. It is great to see the place, Metropolis Bicycle Shop now with its beauty and prospering business! It was the right kind of shop to open in this location because of all the bike routes in the area!! It is a MUST SEE kind of place!!
This is one of the many wonderful bike shops in the city. These guys are all devoted; not only to bikes, but to cycling culture in all its glorious and diverse forms. There is BMX, road, mountain, and vintage bike love to be found all over the shop. Add to that, the fact that they do honest business and take an interest in each customer, and you've got a great place to bring your bike. I learn something everytime I visit.
