On Tuesday June 10th I arrived at the Metrolina Medical Clinic for a 3:30p appointment. As per usual the wait as an hour before anyone was seen. After being called to the back for my triaged I was placed in room #3 and was told by the nurse that I would be that next to be seen.
After about 30 minutes of waiting inside the room I hear Dr. Ogu or N.P Ardelius Boan(because at this point I am unsure who is who) triaging another patient, so again I wait. Next thing I know he is in the room with the patient although myself and another lady are already in wait. So I go out to the nurse to ask what was going on as she had advised me that I was next. She stated I was and she was advised him once she was off the phone. I stated to her how all the waiting was ridiculous and no soon then that was said Dr. Ogu or NP Boan comes out of the room with the patient he skipped me for, stands over me (and he a big man) and starts aggressively yelling at me. I requested for him to lower his voice and speak to me with respect (especially in his place of business) for him to continue speak in the same tone and matter. I again stated for him to lower his voice and correct his tone before continuing to speak with me. I explained to him I have been waiting almost 2hrs to see the doctor to then be skipped over. He proceeds to tell me he had an emergency at the hospital and he told the nurse to advise us of this. I told him she had not!! I stated at that point in time the prior waiting was not the issue as I ALWAYS have to wait a minimum of 40 minutes before being seen here.... The issue is that at this point I have been waiting in this room another 40 minutes to then be skipped over. He then states "We go by appointment time here not when you arrive". He goes on to say the patients appointment was before mines although he walked in just as I was going to the back.
I advised to that maybe he should speak with his nurse because she told me I was next and didn't understand why he was in that room. He than asks the nurse, she advised him of the same for him to say "I have to finish with this patient" and walks off and closes the door. NO APOLOGIZE.... NOTHING!!!!!! I was so thankful that my husband was there because I was so shaken up after the incident.
Although every time I called to make an appointment, get test results or any other service I couldn't get through I continued to give chances because I felt Dr. Ogu was genuinely nice, but after this latest experience I will NEVER!!!!!!
If you are planning on going to this office please beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
