I saw Dr. Schorner due to a visual issue that arose one morning that seemed serious - the Metrolina Eye team was super about finding a time to come in same day. Let me start of by say doctor Blotnick has been my doctor for almost three years now. He is an amazing doctor both skilled in his craft and a pleasure to be around. On September 7, 2016 he preformed my custome wave LASIK surgery. Let's just say my vision before the surgery was abysmal. I'm proud say that today because of him my vision is 20/20 almost 20/15. You rock doctor Blotnick!!!
I recently had cataract surgery in both eyes with Dr Blotnick. First let me say that Dr Blotnick is very skilled doctor and did an excellent job. Here's the problem - his staff completely botched the experience. First of all, I made it clear to three different employees that I both needed (due to insurance) and wanted to go to a specific hospital. I did so to ensure that I would be scheduled appropriately. Billing office will rip you off.
After just completing cataract surgery for both eyes, I cannot be more pleased. Staff was very courteous and respectful. Dr. Blotnick explained the procedures, the pro's and con's of my treatment plan. I was allowed to select the option that I thought best for me. After having working in the healthcare field for many years, having a voice and a choice in my treatment plan was important. I would give them a zero but that's not an option. My mother went in there for an eye exam and the nasty tech there was upset that she did not want them to put a weight on her eye to test the pressure, so that nasty woman put so much of the stuff they use to dilate her eyes that even at 9:30 at night my mother could not see well and her appointment with them was early in the day. Dr. Blotnick performed LASIK on both my eyes yesterday. He was very helpful, explained the entire procedure including what needed to be done before and after surgery. I had the procedure done yesterday afternoon and today I feel great, and I'm closing in on 20/15 in each eye which is better than expected! Dr. Blotnick did an excellent job on my eye for LASIK. I highly recommend him. I've seen him for over a year prior to LASIK for other eye problems and was always provided excellent care each time.
